(More customer reviews)This is the perfect addition to the Garmin GPS (I have a Street Pilot III). Lock-in to satellites is just a few seconds (it could take as long as a minute with the stock antenna and there are some places near me where I would have to hit the "continue to acquire" button).
I cannot compare it to the Garmin GA26 antenna, but I can't imagine how it could be better, and this is a fration of the price.
I can't think of anything negative to say. You do need to snake the antenna up to the roof of your car, so that makes it a little less portable. The way I have it, it will take a second to undo, so I it is not a negative for me.
I have not tried the antenna inside the car.
