(More customer reviews)This case is soft and will offer limited or no drop protection. It is thinly padded but not rigid on the exterior. It is narrow and will only barely fit a 4 inch GPS unit by itself without a mount. It is lined internally to protect the GPS device but the material is not especially soft. It does open very wide to make inserting the GPS device easy.
