(More customer reviews)I took a chance on this knock-off bracket since the Garmin OEM replacement part was so expensive. There are two important functions for this bracket plus cosmetic finish:
1. Smooth-secure pivot on ball joint - I rate this 9 out of 10; This is probably the most important function and it performs very well.
2. Secure attachment of clip into slots of GPS device - I rate this 6 out of 10 - It doesn't clip as snappy as the original but it gets the job done.
3. Cosmetic finish - I rate this 4 out of 10 - The surface finish is more crude than the original, but who cares. The bracket isn't even visible when the GPS is installed in front of it.
Overall, it's four stars out of five. Don't be worried about this. It will get the job done and you'll save money from the greedy spare parts department at Garmin.
