(More customer reviews)I am a GPS junkie. I own or have owned about 15 units over the last 10 years. The features of the MyGuide 3050 are excellent, based on the SiRF chipset capability. As others have pointed out, the lack of a real time clock is a killer. On power-up the unit defaults to 2 AM somewhere in Europe. This sets the screen to night time if the night screen is programmed in. After start up you have to set the date (start-up is a few years ago) and correct time into the unit for other features to work (arrival time etc). Having said that the unit performs very well in actual use. Support is weak, I have sent two emails with questions to the company, both unanswered.
