(More customer reviews)My uncle gave me this unit because he gave up trying to figure out how to use it. I used it on a trip from maine to massachussets with no problem. Teh battery life was very bad. It would go completely dead if not on the charger after about 12 hours (when turned off). When plugged into its ac adapter the screan would flicker and the unit would lock up I then used it around town in worcester twice. Yesturday I was going to use it again. Whne I plugged it into the car adapter smoke poured out the reset hole. It hasnt worked since. In trying to figure out all the features of it I called tech support because the manual only gives a breif overview of how to use the turn by turn and doesnt explain the symbology of the maps, the menu structure, and a whole bunch of other important info. tech support refused to help me because the product wasn't registered, and the nextar website refused to let me register it. NICE GOING! I won't be buying a nextar anytime in the future and would encourage others to steer clear of this brand, and especially this model
