(More customer reviews)It's ugly, it's large, it's hard to get a TomTom xL 330 mounted in it... but it kept everything dry. I bought this right before a 2000+ mile motorcycle road trip as a much less expensive option to purchasing a motorcycle specific GPS, and I'm glad I did. Getting the GPS mounted in it was a hassle, but I understand the reasons for it. The unit itself fit just fine, but getting the cord routed through it took an hour or so of fiddling around to make the smallest hole possible. It's also tough to find a way to mount the thing where it's not blocking either controls or gauges... but I finally found a spot. Of course, then it blocks the gas filler.. but it made for the best option.
Performance was great. It was used in some torrential downpours, heavy fog and even a little snow. The only time there was any dampness inside was during drastic temperature changes - and that was due to condensation forming on the inside of the clear cover. It was worst in the morning going from the warmth of the hotel room outside to the bars on the bike. I think next time I'll try taking them outside before breakfast and letting everything acclimate before sealing the box up for the day.. that may help. Otherwise it did it's job well. Sooner or later I'll get a weatherproof, motorcycle specific GPS... but until then, this is a great option.
